Aquatic Weed Technology will provide a step by step program that will guarantee a healthy waterway this year and in the future. A standard program begins with early spring water monitoring to determine water temperature, weed species present and stage of weed development. Performing these tests and measurements help us gauge the health of your pond, predict any potential problems and take the steps necessary to avoid those problems.

The appropriate control method and time of application is then determined and the initial treatment is made. All of the herbicides and algaecides we use are registered with the State of Illinois and the Federal EPA. Water conditions can change very quickly and algae blooms may occur overnight. Our applicators, licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, continue frequent inspections and applications needed to keep your waterway healthy and clear. Every inspection is accompanied by a written report detailing the inspection, any treatment made and any water restrictions. Water restrictions are also posted at obvious points on the waters.

Aquatic Weed Technology will also take care of your aeration requirements. Nuisance geese can be repelled with FlightControl®, which we apply on a prescribed basis.
